FREQUENTLY ASKED
QUESTIONS

  • Can I consume any soft food during fasting?
No, I recommend that you do not eat anything that needs to be chewed. The digestive system needs to reset while fasting. Any foods other than Manna Gold Up requires the digestive system to work, which diverts from the purpose of the fasting period. So, while you can enjoy Manna Gold Up, refrain from eating any foods including soft foods until the fasting period is complete.
  • Can I drink fruit juice, vegetable water or tea, etc during fasting?"
No, you should not drink/consume anything other than Manna Gold Up and water during the fasting period. The body systems need to rest and repair, so refrain from consuming anything including fruit juice, vegetable water, tea, etc. that stimulates the body.
  • How much weight can I lose during fasting?
The results vary from person to person, but on average, one loses about 6 to 9 lbs with a week of the fasting.
  • What possible reactions can I have during fasting?
You may have a headache the first few days of fasting. In particular, people with stomach problems or constipation may be more prone to headaches. However, this is nothing to fear as it is completely normal. The headache is actually caused by the decomposition of the gas in the stomach, which causes it to float upward. This process is crucial; the gas needs to be released as it is waste products coming out of the body. Drinking plenty of water, walking for an hour in the morning and evening, and taking a foot bath will help ease the discomfort. Please do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
  • Can I reduce the amount of Manna Gold Up I consume during the recovery period?
We recommend that you continue to consume the same amount of Manna Gold Up as you did during the fasting period-at least 1 pouch (150ml) per day.
  • Is it possible to substitute Gunsaeng during the recovery period with soft porridge and salad?
We do not recommend this. Just because it is soft in texture doesn't mean it's an easy-to-digest meal. Soft porridge does not have its own enzymes, and in order to digest it, a large amount of digestive enzymes in the body must be utilized. Salad, too, requires a longer digestion process due to dietary fiber. For the first two days of recovery, only consume Gunsaeng. After, you can slowly incorporate raw foods such as salads into your diet day by day. Gradually increase the amount and time of meals by adding heated foods such as soups and side dishes. Make sure to monitor your digestion and ease into meals accordingly to avoid strain.
